THE ENUGU STATE POLICE COMMAND, has released a photo of a woman who used nails and object to inflicts injuries on a minor who happens to be her house maid

A spokesperson of the State Police Command, Daniel Ndukwe Ikea, states that the woman Ifeoma Ozougwu 24, and her husband Jude Ozougwu 40, were arrested following credible information that a woman from ENUGU State, inflicted degrees of injuries on a minor, who happens to be her house maid.

Daniel Ikea said operatives of the police command swiftly moved to the area where they rescued the said minor, and arrested the couple. Investigation showed that the suspect, who the victim's relative and a mother of three maltreated her to the extent of using different object, including hot pressing iron, nails, iron rod to inflict several grivous bodily harm as well as inserting pepper into her private part.

According to State Commissioner of Police, C P Ahmed Abdu Rahman instructed the Area Command to take the minor to the hospital for treatment. He bemoaned why the suspect could be so heartless to abused and inflicted such injuries on another woman's child left in her care. And directed the immediate launch of a thorough investigation and prosecution of the suspect her husband and any other culpable accomplices to the crime.

The Commissioner has warned all those who may have been in the habit or are intending to maltreat or inflict grivous harm on susceptible Children to desist forthwith, as the Police will not spare anyone found culpable in such inhuman acts that infringe on the dignity fundamental Human Rights

of Children.

He called on resident of the state with credible information that will help in fighting crimes against vulnerable Children to call the Command Hotline
