Text: Roman 12:19-20 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves but rather give place into wrath: for it is written , Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the LORD. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him, if he thirst give him water to drink: for in so doing thou shall heap coals of fire on his head. Memory Verse: Proverbs 2o:22
The moment one gives his or her life to Jesus, he or she surrenders everything and holds nothing back, we depend on the Lord for everything that affect a our lives because with Him all things are possible.
We are still living in an imperfect and wicked world and the enemy will continue to work against real believers. He often uses people even some false brethren to work against us. As children of God, we should allow God to fight for us and not trying to do it our own way. If you start fighting your battle by your strength and wisdom, God will step out of the matter and you will eventually lose.
We should understand how God works and not lean on our understanding. And so, if anybody is threatening or working against you, bring God into the matter and holds your peace. Weather in the office, business place, in the family, in the school, in the village or any other place.
As believers, we should know that tit for tat is not of God. You do not use your position to deal with somebody. Again you should not inflict pains on people simply because they offended you. You should not even shout back at people engage in argument with anyone as a Heavenly Candidate. Imagine if our Lord Jesus Christ retaliate when he was being scourged or spat back when he was spat at. Infact humanity would have been doomed and the chapter of Salvation closed forever. But He allowed His Father, the only true and wise God to fight for Him.
Let us therefore follow the example of Jesus and never retaliate against any evil done to us by others. When we prove to our troublers that we are the children of light and pay back evil for good, THE name of the Lord will be glorified and when we call upon Him, He will answer .
PRAYER POINTS:
Repent of any form of retaliation, allow God to fight for you.
Pray and ask God to avenge you of your advarsaries AMEND
